Yes! Students enrolled in afternoon and full-time programs will receive weekly Music Therapy as well as gymnastics and swimming sessions off-site.

No, students are not alone in the 1:1 Transition Program. We group students in classrooms alongside peers working towards similar goals.

Yes! We offer a Hot Lunch Program with multiple options available each day including vegetarian and Halal options.

Yes! We offer Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy on site. Sessions typically run biweekly with teaching staff in attendance so goals can be carried over into the classrooms.

Yes, We have before and after care available at an additional cost. We offer both 1:1 and group options.

Families can contact admissions for initial information. Next, families are asked to complete an Initial Admissions Questionnaire to provide more information about their child. A Director will review your child’s documentation and then contact you for an Initial Intake and school tour. Should your child be a potential fit for the 4:1 or 7:1 Classroom Program, 1-2 trial days will then be arranged. After the trial day(s), a summary will be provided to the family outlining observations from the day.

Yes! We offer both March Break Camp and Summer Camp at an additional cost. We also offer programming during the winter break at an additional cost.

Yes! We accept OAP, SSAH and insurance on a case-by-case basis. If your child is a resident of Canada and has a valid health card, we can also apply for funded Speech and Language Therapy sessions, Physiotherapy sessions and Occupational Therapy sessions through Ontario Health at Home (should they meet the criteria based on assessment). This varies per child. We’ve had students remain at Oakwood for 1-2 years, or up to 6 years, depending on family goals.

No, at this time, we do not offer high school credits.

Yes! We share a building with St. Jude’s Academy and dependent on goals, students integrate into special events such as the Terry Fox Run, Track and Field and morning assemblies. Some students also join St. Jude’s Academy classes for portions of the day with their Oakwood staff.

No, at this time, we do not offer transportation. There are alternative options that our families have utilized. Please ask us for more information!
